18 Apr Barbagallo V8 Supercar Upgrade on Track

West Australian Government has announced that the upgrades to the Barbagallo Raceway will be complete in time for the 2012 Trading Post Perth Challenge. iEDM, with Mark Skaife, was commissioned by the WA Department of Sports and Recreation to develop the original motorsport concept masterplan for the $15 Million upgrade, including internal pit lane and facilities design, V8 Supercar paddock layout, track safety improvements and speed curve analysis to assist the WA based design and construct team. It was always going to be a tight construction period for the WA Department of Sports and Recreation and the photos on the WASCC Facebook page look great (check them out here – https://www.facebook.com/pages/WA-Sporting-Car-Club-Inc-Barbagallo-Raceway/101862439856407?ref=ts). See the full story on V8 Supercars website – http://www.v8supercars.com.au/championship/newsarticle/new-look-barbagallo-raceway-nearly-complete/tabid/70/newsid/12356/default.aspx. Best of luck to the team in WA for a successful Event in a couple of weeks’ time. In other V8 Supercar related news, this weekend marks the last ITM Hamilton 400 V8 Supercar Race in New Zealand. 23 Feb London Olympic Precinct 3d Visualisation

For a bit of fun in the lead up to the 2012 London Olympics, iEDM have created a 3d animated visualisation of a temporary street circuit around the Olympic Precinct. Having only construction photos and images available over the web, we completely reconstructed the site in a 3d model and designed a visual perspective of what we thought the event might look like. Then, we built our own car and went for a lap. Take a look – London Street Circuit Or alternatively you can visit the Project page for more information. iEDM have a visual design team that specialise in 3d visualisation, simulation, architectural and special project design. 2012 London Olympic Precinct - Original Street Circuit Concept by iEDM from Howler + iEDM on Vimeo....
