iEDM were engaged by AME Management to plan and oversee the install and delivery of this Supercross event at Marvel Stadium. This is the first time this event has been held at the venue. With strict engineering requirements and a full Spring events calendar, there were many logistical challenges to overcome. Turf health was the driving component when setting the project program. To avoid any damage to the playing surface, turf specialists advised that the turf should not be covered for more than 72 hours. Strict loading conditions set by the stadium engineers informed the method in which the track infrastructure was designed, built and dismantled. 6 months of detailed planning and liaising with many stakeholders including event managers, turf specialists, engineers, traffic and venue management resulted in the successful execution of a detailed project program. The Real Madrid World of Football is a state of the art, digital and physical interactive football exhibition which premiered at Melbourne Museum, in June 2018. The exhibition is due to travel the world, visiting 15 cities over 5 years. Real Madrid is one of the World’s most popular sporting teams and valuable sporting brands. The exhibition features memorabilia and exciting interactive experiences to engage visitors. iEDM was engaged by iEC Exhibitions! to design, procure and deliver a 1500 square metre temporary structure which resembled the Bernabau – the Real Madrid home stadium. After an exhaustive international tender for the procurement of the structure, it was determined that the best way forward was to deliver the first event locally, through Australian stock to establish the pros and cons of running a project in a temporary structure. iEDM was then commissioned to deliver the structure and event overlay for the first exhibition, which was to be held on the forecourt of Melbourne Museum, in front of the Royal Exhibition Building.
