Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 – iEDM Appointment

iEDM are very excited to announce that we have been appointed by V8 Supercar Events to provide site management and labour services for the 50th Anniversary Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.

The 50th Anniversary of the Great Race will be one of the biggest Australian sporting events this year. V8 Supercar Events have received exceptional demand for more grandstands, more camping, more corporate and more everything.

There are a number of super exciting activities planned and there are going to be record crowds expected to celebrate the milestone.iEDM Director Steve Orr, who has years of varied experience in different capacities at Mount Panorama, will be assuming the role of Site Manager with assistance from other team members from iEDM.

Adrian Dalton, of Event Expertise, will be vacating the Site Management position after many years of controlling the site to concentrate on some other parts of his business. However, he will also be assisting the team at Bathurst and we are very happy to have someone of his experience on the site. His guidance will be invaluable for our first site management appointment at the Mountain.

Event Expertise is a constant source of peer review for iEDM and we are very happy to continue to grow this relationship. We are also lucky enough to have secured the team of labour personnel who worked underneath Adrian for this project over the past years. This will, we’re sure, assist us with the in-depth knowledge required of this unique venue.iEDM now provide site management, event labour, workplace health and safety officers and compliance consultancy to V8 Supercars for the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.

We are very proud to be associated with this exciting event, especially in this, it’s 50th year.

This spells another massive end to the year for iEDM. Coming up, we have the following projects to finish the end of 2012: Sucrogen Townsville 400 (July); Blackmores Sydney Running Festival (September); Supercheap Bathurst 1000 (October); Armor All Gold Coast 600 (October); Gold Coast Bulletin Bikini Parade (December); and, Sydney Telstra 500 (December).

On top of that, there are a swag of other non-event related projects we are completing. Needless to say, we are very proud of our team.Very Exciting.
