For Chairman John Howe, the agreement is a humbling reflection of iEDM’s strong performance and the trust developed between the two organisations. “Our team has been working closely with the AGPC since late 2019 to deliver around $20M of permanent upgrades to the Albert Park Circuit. It is a real endorsement of our people and processes, that based on our performance on that project and the relationship we have built with the AGPC, we have been trusted to deliver this world-class event for the next 5 years” he said.

“Following a difficult 12 months in the events and sport sector, our Melbourne office is now buzzing with excitement and positivity. The relationship our teams have at an operational level is one of the best I have seen in 40 years of business.”
The scope of works for the contract includes principal contractor services of all temporary infrastructure including the circuit, grandstands, corporate facilities, operations facilities, fit out, electrical and communications, plumbing, signage, pedestrian bridges and super screens.
Annually, iEDM design and deliver over $60M of temporary infrastructure for major events around Australia.
“We only started the iEDM office in Melbourne a few years ago and to achieve the success of being awarded the EPMS contract for the FORMULA 1 ™ Australian Grand Prix in that time is a fantastic accomplishment for the team. Following this success, our Melbourne office will now be our largest full-time office in Australia.”
iEDM has over 40 staff across 3 offices, supporting the delivery of projects throughout the east coast of Australia and across to Adelaide. The team includes engineers, designers, project managers, experts in cost, sustainability and risk management, construction managers, WHS professionals and site managers to enable iEDM to provide a truly integrated service offering to our clients.
