The FINA World Championships (25m) will showcase over 1,000 athletes from around 180 countries. It stands to be a bumper event for aquatic sport in general with prize money to be equally distributed to men and women from 1st to 8th place across individual athlete categories and relay teams. There will also be an impressive US$25,000 paid to the swimmers who set new World Records during the Championships.
Our Melbourne team are excited to be delivering a world-class overlay for another great international event with MSAC just a short stroll from the iEDM offices in South Melbourne. iEDM will be responsible for the Design, Site Management and WHS Management for the temporary overlay required at the venue, which includes a challenging temporary 2,000 seat grandstand.
“It was a rewarding reflection of the success of the Pan Pacs project, that Swimming Australia reached out to us for assistance and advice when they were awarded the rights to Melbourne 2022” Globally, the FINA swimming events are really well orchestrated fan experiences and our Melbourne team is really excited to be able to contribute to this opportunity. It is a great way for us to start the decade of major international events coming into Australia” – Liam Howe, Managing Director of iEDM
