iEDM Delivers Record-Breaking Year Across Australia's Biggest Events

January 2026 — iEDM has capped off an extraordinary 2025, delivering some of Australia's most complex and high-profile major events while simultaneously advancing permanent sports infrastructure and advisory projects across the country.

From the streets of Adelaide to the iconic circuits of Albert Park and Bathurst, iEDM's integrated teams worked seamlessly across the nation, demonstrating why we remain Australia's leading multi-disciplinary engineering and project delivery firm for major event and sports facility projects.

A Year of Outstanding Delivery

The scale of iEDM's 2025 delivery program reflects both our capacity and our commitment to excellence. Across the year, our teams delivered approximately 110,000 square metres of temporary structures, 25,000 square metres of double and triple-storey installations, and 30,000 square metres of scaffolding. We installed 90,000 temporary seats, deployed 180 kilometres of temporary fencing, and laid 123,000 square metres of flooring across multiple sites.

Behind these impressive numbers lies even more significant achievement: we administered around 620 individual overlay contracts and inducted just under 9,000 workers across our sites, all while maintaining our rigorous safety standards and delivering world-class outcomes for our clients.

Major Event Highlights

The year opened with LIV Golf Adelaide in February, setting the tone for what would become a relentless and rewarding delivery calendar. March saw iEDM deliver two of Australia's premier events simultaneously: the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne and the Avalon Air Show, showcasing our capacity to manage large-scale, concurrent operations across different states.

April brought AFL Gather Round, followed by the Phillip Island Circuit Upgrades mid-year. July's Townsville 500 and August's Denison Foreshore Drift and Stunts demonstrated our versatility across different motorsport formats and urban overlay environments.

October proved particularly demanding, with iEDM delivering three major events: MotoGP at Phillip Island, the Gold Coast 500, and the Bathurst 1000. The year concluded with the Adelaide Golf Festival in November, rounding out a calendar that few firms could match in scope or complexity.

Permanent Infrastructure Achievement

Beyond major events, iEDM achieved a significant milestone with the delivery of Barossa Park, a permanent sports facility completed in March. This project exemplifies our integrated approach, combining our major events expertise with permanent infrastructure delivery capabilities.

Advisory and Design Excellence

While our delivery teams worked across the country, iEDM's Design and Advisory teams contributed to exciting future projects that will shape Australia's sports and events landscape. Our work included the Perth Park Sports and Entertainment Precinct, North Adelaide Golf Course redevelopment, groundbreaking research projects with RMIT, COP31 Venue and Overlay Design, and the new Albert Park Pit Building overlay integration.

These projects demonstrate iEDM's ability to not only deliver today's major events but also to shape tomorrow's infrastructure and event capabilities.

Looking Ahead

"2025 was an outstanding year for iEDM. Our ability to deliver multiple complex events simultaneously, while maintaining our commitment to safety, quality, and innovation, reflects the strength of our integrated teams and the depth of experience across our business.

As we move into 2026 and beyond, with Brisbane 2032 on the horizon and the Rugby World Cup 2027 in our project pipeline, iEDM continues to build on four decades of excellence in major event delivery.

When the world is watching, we deliver.
